Physio in Dublin, without the trip across the city

Book a Physio is an online service. Our physiotherapists are CORU-registered and based in Ireland, and you see them by video, so an appointment fits around the commute instead of adding to it.

A physio appointment in Dublin usually means a lunch hour lost or an evening on the M50. Clinics cluster in the city centre and the southside, and a good one often has a wait of a week or two for a first slot. For a sore back or a knee that has started complaining on the stairs, that is a long time to sit with it.

A video session takes 30 minutes from your kitchen in Swords, Tallaght, Blanchardstown, Dún Laoghaire or anywhere in between. The physiotherapist takes your history, watches you move, explains what they think is going on and sets you a plan to work on at home. If anything needs hands-on examination or a doctor, they tell you.

Serving all of Dublin city and county, including Swords, Blanchardstown, Lucan, Clondalkin, Tallaght, Dundrum, Dún Laoghaire, Howth and Balbriggan.

What to have ready at home

  • Phone or tablet on a stable prop, landscape if you can.
  • Camera at hip height, two to three metres back.
  • Light on your face, not behind you.
  • Somewhere to lie down within reach of the frame.

Common questions

Are you based in Dublin?
No. Book a Physio has no clinic. Our physiotherapists are CORU-registered and based in Ireland, and every session is by video, which is why we can see you anywhere in Dublin at a time that suits.
Is online physio any good for back pain?
For most back pain, yes. The guidelines put advice, staying active and exercise first, and all of that happens at home between appointments. Our article on back pain explains what the evidence says and what a video session involves.
What if I need to be seen in person?
Your physiotherapist will say so in the session and point you to the right next step, whether that is a GP or an in-person physiotherapist.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. In Ireland you can see a physiotherapist privately without one.
Can I claim it back?
Possibly: it depends on your own policy, so check with your insurer and with Revenue.
What do I need for the session?
A phone or laptop, space to move, and something to prop the camera against. Our guide to preparing for your first session covers the rest.
