Physio in Limerick, city or county, from home

Book a Physio is an online service. Our physiotherapists are CORU-registered and based in Ireland, and you see them by video, at a time that suits you.

In Limerick the physios are in the city and in a handful of the bigger towns. If you are in Abbeyfeale, Kilmallock or Newcastle West, or working shifts at Raheen or Shannon, a weekday afternoon appointment in the city costs you the afternoon. The usual result is waiting to see if it goes away on its own.

A video session takes 30 minutes from home. The physiotherapist takes your history, watches you move, explains what they think is going on and gives you a plan to work on at home. If anything needs hands-on examination or a doctor, they tell you.

Serving Limerick city and county, including Castletroy, Dooradoyle, Raheen, Annacotty, Adare, Newcastle West, Abbeyfeale, Kilmallock, Rathkeale and Croom.

  • Phone or tablet on a stable prop, landscape if you can.
  • Camera at hip height, two to three metres back.
  • Light on your face, not behind you.
  • Somewhere to lie down within reach of the frame.

Common questions

Are you based in Limerick?
No. Book a Physio has no clinic. Our physiotherapists are CORU-registered and based in Ireland, and every session is by video, which is why we can see you anywhere in the county at a time that suits.
Can I book around shift work?
It depends on the times on offer. Physiotherapists set their own hours, and you see every free time before you choose, so you can book a time that suits you.
Is online physio any good for back pain?
For most back pain, yes. The guidelines put advice, staying active and exercise first, and all of that happens at home between appointments. Our article on back pain explains what the evidence says and what a video session involves.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. In Ireland you can see a physiotherapist privately without one.
Can I claim it back?
Possibly: it depends on your own policy, so check with your insurer and with Revenue.
What do I need for the session?
A phone or laptop, space to move, and something to prop the camera against. Our guide to preparing for your first session covers the rest.
