What we collect, which is very little

This site is currently one page. There are no accounts, no bookings and nothing clinical, so there is almost nothing to tell you. That will change, and so will this page.

This is a plain-English draft, written to describe the site as it actually works today. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor, and it is not the privacy notice the booking platform will need. If you have a question it does not answer, ask us and we will answer honestly.

Who we are

book a physio is an online physiotherapy service for adults in Ireland, at bookaphysio.ie. The company details and a postal address will be added here once the entity is registered, and that is a gap we are naming rather than hiding.

What the site collects

Nothing about you, unless you agree to analytics. There is no sign up, no contact form and no booking on the site today, so there is nothing for us to store even if we wanted to.

If you say yes to the cookie banner, Google Analytics records how pages are used: which pages are opened, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device it was. We have IP anonymisation switched on, and advertising and personalisation signals are switched off. If you say no, none of that loads at all.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies on its own. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell one visit from another.

Your answer to the banner is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so it is never sent to us with a request. It is there only so we stop asking. Clearing your browser data clears it.

Who else sees it

Google, as the provider of Analytics, if you allow it. Vercel hosts the site and processes the technical request data any web host does, such as IP addresses, in order to serve pages and keep the service running.

We do not sell anything about you, and there is no advertising on this site.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how it is used, and complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland. Given the site holds nothing about you unless you opted into analytics, the honest answer to most such requests today is that there is nothing to return.

You can withdraw your analytics consent at any time using the control below, and it takes effect immediately.

Adults only

This service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything about children.
